Croghan Colonial Bank Croghan Colonial Bank and the Oak Harbor Police Department are partnering to host a Bright Futures event Wednesday, March 22, at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 7870 State Route 163, Oak Harbor, from 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
The event is open to parents and guardians to bring awareness to the dangers of drugs, peer pressure and the importance of financial responsibility. Attendees will learn the tools and knowledge needed to speak openly to their children about these topics.
Event speakers include a local recovering addict who will share her story, bringing awareness to local drug use. Sgt. Justin Smith will discuss social media and how it increases peer pressure. He will also walk through setting up parental controls for social media apps.
Croghan employees Ashley Hansen and Taylor Keister will share financial education information and introduce helpful options that Croghan offers.
