The Danbury Lakers boys varsity basketball team is currently 1-5 overall and 0-3 conference. The Lakers take on the Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks who are 0-8 overall and 0-5 conference to start the new year.

The Danbury Lakers girls varsity basketball team has a record of 10-1 overall and is in first place in the Sandusky Bay-River Conference with a record of 7-0.  Danbury started 2025 with a home-game conference win 53-42 against the Woodmore Wildcats (7-3 overall and 5-2 conference) on Friday, Jan. 3.
