Danbury Holiday Bureau begins annual campaign

Nov 13, 2019 | Around Ottawa County | 0 comments

This year the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau is celebrating 57 years of helping local residents. With the assistance and support of local schools, churches, businesses and lots of dedicated volunteers, we have been able to make the holidays a little better for many in this area.

In 2018, the Danbury Holiday Bureau alone was able to touch the lives of 93 families, including 297 individuals and 124 children 18 and younger. The bureau, which depends entirely on donations and volunteers, needs your support again this year. It does not receive any government funding and 100% of the donations to the Danbury Holiday Bureau remains in Danbury Township.

Its many volunteers are committed to collecting and purchasing food to distribute to people in our community. Monetary donations can be made out to Danbury Holiday Bureau and mailed to 2259 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.

If you have non-perishable food you wish to donate, drop it off at your local church, or in a box at both locations of The Marblehead Bank, The Marblehead Library, Erie Food Market or call 419-732-2333 by Dec. 1.

Local residents needing assistance, or people knowing of anyone needing assistance, should call 419-732-2333 and an application will be sent. All applications must be sent by Dec. 1.
