Danbury had trouble putting away Lakota, but as the game wore on, the Lakers were able to distance themselves enough from the Raiders to win, 45-38.
Annie Tibbels led all scorers with 15 points and Maddie Harris chipped in with nine.
Alexa Gabel scored 14 points to lead Lakota.
New Riegel 49, Danbury 40
New Riegel held a steady lead for the entire game and defeated Danbury, 49-40.
The Blue Jackets led 16-11 after the first quarter, 29-21 at halftime and 42-32 after the third.
Brooklyn Gillig led all scorers with 19 points, 12 of which came in the first half when New Riegel built its lead.
Kayla Rodriguez had 14 points to lead the Lakers (2-3, 2-2 SBC River) while Annie Tibbels (13) and Grace Hollenbeck (10) contributed, too.
Gibsonburg boys defeat Danbury, 87-58
Gibsonburg wasted little time in taking control and defeated Danbury, 87-58.
The Golden Bears (2-1, 1-0 SBC River) took a 26-12 a lead after the first quarter and led 50-33 at halftime.
Gibsonburg got 32 points from Theo Hernandez, 17 from Tyler Henderson and 16 from Aidan McGough.
The Lakers (0-4, 0-2) got 17 points from Kory Berhent and 15 from Tommy Owens.
