Danbury Township breaks ground for new fire station

Officers of the Danbury Township Fire Department broke ground on Monday for its new fire station on a 6.8-acre parcel at 7870 East Harbor Rd. The much-needed facility will replace two smaller fire stations, and was made possible by strong support from voters for a .75 mill levy last November. From left to right are: Lt. Tom McNeal, Lt. Trevor Ross, Asst. Chief Tim Almendinger, Chief Keith Kahler, Asst. Chief Scott Uninck and Lt. Randy Rakosky.
