Nov 17, 2021 | Around Ottawa County, Featured | 0 comments

Businesses and organizations around the Port Clinton area can participate in the annual 2021 Gift of Lights holiday tree decorating contest at Adams Street Park and decorate a tree for charity.

Sign up to be assigned a Christmas Tree to decorate with a $35 donation made payable to the Port Clinton Recreation Department. The trees will be located at Adams Street Park in downtown historic Port Clinton, and people can vote for their favorite or best-decorated tree for a $1 donation.

The donations will determine this year’s winner! The proceeds will be donated to the 2020 winner’s charity of choice.

Organizations and businesses may decorate their trees beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 24.  All trees should be completed by Friday, Dec. 3rd. Voting begins on Saturday, Dec. 4 during Community Christmas, with ballot boxes available at the Main Street Port Clinton Chamber office, Port Clinton City Hall, Coffee Express, Lilly & Gerts, Mary’s Blossom Shoppe, and the Ala Carte Cafe.

The deadline to vote is Friday, Dec. 17 at noon.

Businesses and organizations should remove their decorations the week of Jan. 3.

If you are interested in decorating a tree, please contact Main Street Port Clinton at 419-734-5503.
