Dig for Diabetes spikes donations

Oct 21, 2020 | Schools | 0 comments

The Port Clinton High School volleyball team hosted a Dig for Diabetes event recently in a match against neighboring rival Oak Harbor. There was a strong turnout due to both teams having a Type 1 diabetic athlete on their rosters, including Port Clinton team captain Haylie Sewell, pictured with team captain Kiersten Sherer, both seniors. All money raised in the annual Dig for Diabetes event was donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, with this year’s total topping the $8,000 mark.
