I want to be your Law Director because I am dedicated, hardworking, and invested in making sure Port Clinton succeeds. As Assistant Prosecutor, I have successfully tried hundreds of cases before a judge and jury over the last 15 years. I have successfully argued cases at the Sixth District Court of Appeals.
I fight for my victims and I have a winning record in court. I have advised county officials on foreclosure matters and worked with the Ottawa County Land Bank to rejuvenate neighborhoods by tearing down abandoned and blighted properties through filing foreclosures.
As Law Director, it will be my goal to fully advise and support city officials and city council. I will have the city’s best interest in mind when meeting with officials and preparing legal opinions and documents in a timely fashion. I will also zealously represent the city in court.
I will continue to attend weekly committee meetings, in addition to regular City Council meetings, to stay apprised of current issues the city is dealing with and to answer questions as they arise.
My opponent states I have many known conflicts. That is not true. I diligently requested a legal opinion from the Ohio Attorney General that stated that I can work for both the city and county and that a conflict would be rare and easily avoidable.
I have the experience, stability, and integrity necessary to be your Law Director and I am asking for your vote on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
