Doris M. Wolfe, 85, of Port Clinton, passed away peacefully Nov. 24 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. She was born March 26, 1935, the daughter of Rufus and Bertha (Wilcox) Guard. She married Robert Spindler, Sr. in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She later married Wayne Wolfe on Sept. 14, 1980 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1997. Doris and Wayne owned and operated Oaks Café in Oak Harbor and Dor-Way Antiques in Oak Harbor.
Surviving are her children: Doretta (Eddie) Cuevas of Port Clinton, Marc (Kim) Spindler, Sr. of Clyde; grandchildren: Erin (Dan) Laird, Briana (Brad) Busby, Ashley (Adam) Sebastiano, Marc (Carissa) Spindler, Jr., Erica (Scott Healy) Spindler, Christopher (Michelle) Lockhart, Andrea Beddow, Robert A. Spindler, Brian (Christina) Spindler, Chad (Corinne) Johnson, Christina (Brien) Stafford, Melissa (Joe) Cassidy; many great-grandchildren; sisters: Patricia (John) Musser of Chiefland, Fla., Sue McFadden of South Bend, Ind.; brothers: Paul (Marlene) Guard of LaPaz, Ind., Larry (Carolyn) Guard of Waynesville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her children: Robert Spinder, Jr., Jolena Rose and granddaughter: Tracie.
Private graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 30, at LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s choice.
