PORT CLINTON – Dr. Kelly Reynolds, an accomplished dermatologist and distinguished alumna, has been selected as the 2026 inductee into the Port Clinton High School (PCHS) Alumni Hall of Fame. She will join a prestigious group of former students recognized for their outstanding academic achievements and contributions to their fields. The induction ceremony will take place during the PCHS Rotary Honors Banquet on Wednesday, April 29.

Reynolds, née Passabet, earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, graduating at the top of her class and gaining membership in the esteemed Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Health Studies and Psychology. During her intern year at Kettering Hospital Network amid the Covid-19 pandemic, she demonstrated exceptional dedication, which she continued through her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan Medicine.

Following her academic training and board certification as a dermatologist, Reynolds accepted a full-time position with Optum in Southern California. There, she provides medical and surgical dermatologic care to underinsured patients with complex conditions, earning an average patient satisfaction score of 99% for her compassionate care.

Reynolds has an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications, including first-author manuscripts in leading medical journals. Her research covers rare dermatologic conditions, treatment safety, psychodermatology, the impact of social media, medical ethics, artificial intelligence, health policy, and research methodology. Her work has been cited over 600 times. She has also contributed chapters to dermatology textbooks and presented at national and international conferences such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the World Congress of Dermatology.

In addition to her professional achievements, Reynolds is committed to advancing dermatological knowledge among healthcare providers and the public. She regularly lectures to primary care clinicians and participates in community outreach events.

Reynolds married her high school sweetheart, Eric Reynolds, in 2016.
