Local agencies are coming together for an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 27, with groups gathering at Lakeview Park in Port Clinton from 9-11 a.m. The vision for this event is to bring the community together in a fun, relaxed way to salute Earth Day and interact with other community groups and agencies.

Port Clinton Parks and Recreation department will host its annual beach cleanup and city-wide cleanup. The Ottawa Soil & Water Conservation District and the OSS Solid Waste District will have water quality and recycling activities and games. Other groups include Pathway Inclusion Center, Girl Scout Troops and the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, which will feature local artists and their efforts to make Port Clinton beautiful and environmentally responsible.

The entire Ottawa County community is invited. Come out and enjoy a little free, family fun. If any group would like to set up a booth, contact Beki Hineline at 419-898-1595 at the Ottawa Soil & Water Conservation District.
