The Island Song Trio will have a smooth landing on Port Clinton’s downtown M.O.M. area on Friday for the summertime RiverfrontLive! concert series on Friday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m., despite featuring John “Crash” Davenport and his musical partners in crime, David Altman and Tim Barrett. A local singer and songwriter with more than 115 of his original songs on his play list, Davenport is a decorated U.S. Air Force aviator with more than 13,000 flying hours. He has developed The Mohawk Studio in Sandusky, with an internet venue and app at halolive.com. Davenport can be found throughout the year on stage at area bars and restaurants. A Huron musician, Altman has played the African drum for more than 40 years. Marblehead’s Barrett, a retired elementary school principal, is a well-round musician who has performed with the Akron Symphony. He plays electric bass, cello, violin, mandolin, piano and guitar. Bring face coverings, a folding chair and observe social distancing.
