The Port Clinton Volunteer Fire Department will swing open its doors of the the Port Clinton Firehouse on Saturday, Nov. 11 for its annual Feather Party. While it’s a fun time, with raffles, food and beverages, the social event also helps keeps fire trucks and ambulances on the road.
The largest fundraiser of the year for the Port Clinton Fire Fighters Association, its members will welcome 500 to 600 guests for the free event. The doors open at 6 p.m., the first spin of the wheel is at 6:30 p.m. The sale of raffle tickets to the families who attend is legendary, and so is the wealth of prizes.
“The firemen like to have people in the house for their Feather Party, just because they enjoy the meet and greet all night,” said Chief Kent Johnson. “And every dime that’s raised at a Feather Party is reinvested back in the PCVFD.”
