The Firelands Symphony Orchestra’s Firelands Brass Quintet and RiverFront Live! will take over The District Stage in downtown Port Clinton on Friday, July 28 at 6 p.m. They’ll have everyone toe-tapping and ready to get on their feet to their slate of fanfares and marches, along with popular tunes appropriate for summer, but be sure to wear your Ohio State gear.
A favorite of Buckeye fans, “Hang on, Sloopy” is one of the most requested tunes when the Firelands Brass Quintet plays, and for good reason.
Amanda Bekeny and Ted Clark are playing trumpet, Greg Hillis is on the French horn, Devin Roark plays trombone and the Firelands Symphony Orchestra’s principal tubist is the incomparable J.C. Sherman. They will play an array of popular tunes appropriate for a musical celebration guaranteed to make the audience smile.
