The Firelands Symphony Orchestra (FSO) announced its 2022-2023 season, which presents full orchestra concerts from October through the end of April. The theme of the upcoming season is Looking to the Future, which will showcase exceptionally talented youth musicians and vocalists.
The season is comprised of five full orchestra concerts, including their annual tradition of presenting a holiday pops and a patriotic pops concert. All orchestra concerts will be held at the newly renovated Sawmill Creek Convention Center.
Beginning June 1, season subscription packages will be available. Subscriptions are offered for three, four, or all five orchestra concerts. The subscription packages include discounted rates compared to purchasing single tickets, and range from $72 to $100. Subscriptions can be purchased online at firelandssymphony.com/tickets, by calling the FSO office at 419-621-4800, or visiting the FSO office on the BGSU Firelands Campus (Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Subscribers from the 2022-2023 season will be offered a range of benefits, including early admission seating for each event this season, and first choice in season seat selections if they choose to renew when the FSO returns to the Sandusky State Theatre. They will also be offered first chance at discounted pre-show dinner packages at Sawmill Creek, as well as invitations to VIP receptions and events, as available.
Subscribers can also add additional FSO concerts for reduced prices. In addition to the orchestra season, the FSO will also feature “An Irish Rambling House – Celebrating St. Patrick,” a special Celtic stage show by a guest ensemble. There will also be two FSO chorale concerts, including the popular “Songs of Thanksgiving” celebration.
While subscriptions are on sale beginning June 1, single ticket sales for all of the season events will not begin until July 11. The FSO also offers free tickets for students for most of its concerts, as well as discounted tickets for their holiday and patriotic pops concerts.
