HURON – As the holiday season draws near, the Firelands Symphony Orchestra (FSO) invites families, friends, and music lovers across the region to share in the warmth and spirit of the season at “Holidays and Harmonies,” the annual holiday concert blending orchestral music, choral voices, and holiday tradition. Two performances will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., at the Sawmill Creek Convention Center in Huron.
For the first time, the Firelands Symphony Orchestra is presenting two performances of “Holidays and Harmonies” in response to the concert’s growing popularity. In recent years, the event has drawn increasingly large audiences, with demand regularly surpassing available seating. By offering both an afternoon and an evening performance, FSO is ensuring that more families and community members can experience this cherished holiday tradition.

Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Carl Topilow, the concert promises a joyful and heart-warming experience. The concert will feature the full orchestra, as well as the FSO Chorale, under the direction of Michael Shirtz. The concert will include offerings of festive favorites, beloved sing-along classics, and choral music from around the world. Joining the orchestra and chorale is celebrated baritone vocalist Darryl Lewis — whose rich, velvety tone and charismatic presence bring extra warmth and spirit to this annual holiday tradition.
Whether you’re gathering with loved ones, catching up with friends, or simply treating yourself to an evening of beautiful music, “Holidays and Harmonies” offers the perfect way to celebrate the season – with community, tradition, and the joy of live orchestral and choral music.
General admission tickets can be purchased online at firelandssymphony.com, by calling the FSO box office at 419-621-4800, or at the door on the day of the concert. General admission is $49 per seat, and student tickets are just $10 for youth and college students. The performance is included for full season subscribers, and partial season subscriptions are still available as well.
