SANDUSKY — Christian Siebenaler, M.D., recently joined Firelands Physician Group with Joseph Riley, M.D. Both physicians treat patients at Firelands Regional Medical Center’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center.

Dr. Siebenaler is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, also known as a physiatrist, with interest in the areas of sports medicine, sports-related injuries, stroke recovery, spinal cord injuries and brain injuries.

“Having a parent in the medical field allowed me to see firsthand the impact a physician can have on a person’s life,” said Dr. Siebenaler. “I went into physical medicine and rehabilitation particularly to help patients improve and regain functional independence after a life-changing event.”

Dr. Siebenaler’s hobbies include exercising, cooking, golfing, rooting for the Detroit Lions and spending time with his family.

He earned his doctor of medicine at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
