The popular Oak Harbor Fireworks Show won’t explode in downtown Oak Harbor until Friday, July 3, but to facilitate the pesky chore of raising enough money for another spectacular show — and to have a lot of fun — the Oak Harbor Fireworks Fund is hosting its annual reverse raffle on Saturday, May 9 at the Community Market VFW Memorial Hall in Oak Harbor.

Tickets are $50, with a 200-ticket limit, at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce. The top prize is $2,500. Judge Kathleen Geisler is the local celebrity caller. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m. and the drawing begins at 6:30 p.m.

Meal tickets only are $10. There will also be raffles, games, sideboards, a Chinese Auction and a cash bar. Participants must be 21, and need not be present to win.
