To fill the demand for rapid coronavirus tests as the omicron surge of Covid-19 sweeps the country, a federal website will debut this week to try to make the tests more available all around the country through the website, covidtest.gov, to allow households to order up to four free rapid tests for home delivery.
There are no shipping costs and you don’t need to enter a credit card number.
The federal administration is buying 500 million additional tests to distribute, on top of the 500 million already ordered, and higher-quality masks will also be distributed for free. As the pandemic approaches its third year, U.S. lawmakers are considering delivering another round of coronavirus relief, including paid leave to workers affected by the virus, as part of a spending package meant to fund the government, reported the Washington Post.
