Hear stories of the lives and legacies of Ohio’s eight first ladies during two virtual programs featuring experts from historic sites put on by the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums and First Ladies National Historic Site.

All the Ohio Ladies: First Ladies of the Buckeye State will be from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Thursday, March 7, and Thursday, March 14 and will be offered through Zoom.

During the March 7 program, experts from historic sites will discuss Anna Harrison, Julia Grant, Lucy Hayes and Lucretia Garfield. During the March 14 program, experts will discuss Caroline Harrison, Ida McKinley, Helen Taft and Florence Harding.

There will be a question-and-answer session at the end of each program.

“This unique pair of programs will offer glimpses into the lives of eight fascinating women—their lives, their relationships with their Ohio husbands and the eras in which they served as first ladies of the United States,” said Josh Dubbert, Hayes Presidential historian. “We are so fortunate in having experts joining us from historical sites and societies that focus on these remarkable female historical figures.”
