FSO has variety of free summer concerts around area

The Firelands Symphony Orchestra is featuring free concerts all summer, starting with the The FSO Chorale at Lakeside at Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside Chautauqua on Sunday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m.

Audiences are invited to join the Firelands Symphony Orchestra (FSO) for its free summer concerts and events throughout the region. The summer season begins with the Around Town Tour of small ensemble performances at various local events and hotspots throughout the Firelands region beginning Sunday, May 28, and concludes with a free summer pops orchestra concert on Sunday, August 6 at 7 p.m.

All summer events are free and open to the public, due to generous support from: Erie County Community Foundation, Ottawa County Community Foundation, Wightman-Wieber Charitable Foundation, Albert G. and Olive H. Schlink Foundation, Lange Trust of Sandusky Library, Randolph J. & Estelle M. Dorn Foundation, and Ohio Arts Council.

The FSO Chorale at Lakeside will kick off the summer of FSO music at Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside Chautauqua on Sunday, May 28 at 10:30 a.m.

The FSO Chorale, led by Michael Shirtz as conductor, is the featured music for this Community Worship Service. Internationally known author, speaker and pastor Rev. Dr. Brian McLaren is the Preacher of the Week.
