Funeral services will be held at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Rd., Sandusky, Thursday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. for Chief Vince Donald of the Perkins Township Police Department, who died unexpectedly last week.

Donald spent his entire law enforcement career with the township police department. He was named chief in 2020.

A funeral procession and interment will immediately follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron. The public is welcomed and encouraged to pay final respects along the processional route.

Sandusky Police Chief Jared Oliver and Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth said Donald loved his profession and loved serving the people of Perkins Township. “He was a great person and a great chief,” Oliver said.
