Homeowners in the Bass Haven Mobile Home Park in Marblehead were pleasantly surprised to be awakened very early on a windy Monday morning by Gabe Coleman, a 14-year-old freshman at Port Clinton High School. Starting at 5:30 a.m., the crack of dawn at this time of year, the young lad took it upon himself to dig out Bass Haven residents hit by the overnight snowstorm. He told resident Connie Nunn Wullschleger it wasn’t a job. “He was doing it for his community,” she said. “This is one outstanding, hard-working teenager.”
