In addition to utility payment assistance provided by Great Lakes Community Action Partnership’s Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP), the program also helps those who are running low on fuel supplies.
EHEAP can assist households that utilize wood, kerosene, propane, corn pellets or other heating supplies and have less than 25% of their bulk fuel supply.
“We understand that not everyone relies on a gas or electric utility to heat their home,” GLCAP Basic Needs Specialist Joyce McCauley-Benner said. “That’s why we want people to know that if they are using other means of fuel and are running low on supplies, we can help.”
EHEAP is available for income-eligible residents of Ottawa, Wood, Sandusky, and Seneca counties. Scheduling and details on EHEAP assistance is available online at www.glcap.org/winterheating or by calling 888-441-4327.
