Along with utility payment assistance provided by Great Lakes Community Action Partnership’s Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP), the program can also help households with purchasing fuel supplies. EHEAP assists households that utilize wood, kerosene, propane, corn pellets or other heating supplies and have less than 20% of their bulk fuel supply.
“If your house relies on propane or other bulk fuel for heat and you are running low on fuel, don’t wait until you are out to contact us,” said GLCAP Basic Needs Specialist Joyce McCauley-Benner. “Schedule an appointment so we can help you replenish your fuel supply and keep your house warm this winter.”
EHEAP is available for income-eligible residents of Ottawa County. Scheduling and details on EHEAP assistance is available online at www.glcap.org/winterheating or by calling 567-432-5046.
