Hit some steel at Oak Harbor shooting range

The Oak Harbor Conservation Club is opening its range at 975 S. Gordon Rd., Oak Harbor to the public for its special Tuesday Steel Matches. The matches challenge pistol shooters to hit a variety of hanging steel targets, shooting five rounds of five shots at the 10-yard targets.

The Tuesday Steel Matches are being held through August starting at 5 p.m. The entry fee is $5. Shooters will need to bring a pistol, ranging from .22 rimfire semi-automatics to revolvers, concealed carry handguns, service handguns and unlimited. Each shooter will need 50 rounds of ammunition, ear plugs and shooting glasses.

Shooters do not need to be a club member.
