EDITOR’S NOTE: An inspirational poem composed
by Donna M. Lueke of Marblehead.

As our beacon is refreshed and restored
after being beaten by Mother Nature,
so she will lead and reflect
our own restoration.
Through the difficult times
Though she and we looked rough,
Her light and ours continued to shine,
Her purpose and ours steady.
As she and we emerge,
With a fresh coat of paint
And a haircut and a pedicure,
The summer sun will shine
On our beautified exteriors.
Her interior and ours
Will have also been improved,
For her, for sure,
For us, we hope.
