PORT CLINTON – The Humane Society of Ottawa County is seeking two people to fill open seats on the Board of Directors. A general election will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.

The Board of Directors are responsible for the management of the shelter, making financial decisions on the shelter expenses, and assisting in fundraising events.

Interested persons must submit an application. Applications are available at the shelter, located at 2424 E. Sand Rd. in Port Clinton, or on the website, HumaneSocietyofOttawaCounty.org. Completed applications must be received by the shelter by Dec. 31. Nominations will also be taken from the floor at the Jan. 7, 2026 meeting.

Interested persons are encouraged to attend the regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. in the meeting room of the Ida Rupp Library, located at 310 Madison St. in Port Clinton.
