Catholic Schools Week is fast approaching and Immaculate Conception School (ICS) in Port Clinton has a lot to celebrate. The school is marking its 94th year of giving wisdom to little ones by offering an education of the mind, body, and spirit.
The exciting week starts with an Open House on Sunday, Jan. 27. A celebratory Mass presided by Father John Missler, pastor, will kick off the day at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 109 West 4th St., Port Clinton. The Open House to follow from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are welcome to come and see the amazing things happening at ICS. Tours of the classrooms will be offered. The ICS staff will be on hand to answer questions, and enrollment information for the 2019-2020 school year will be available.
ICS is open to children from 3- and 4-year old preschoolers through the 5th grade. ICS is proud to offer small class sizes, a faith and value based education, and an outstanding staff committed to leaving no child behind. Kindness and respect is taught and expected.
Last year, the school embraced Continuous Progressive Education, in which all children are encouraged to learn when they are ready. This means all children are given the personalized attention to reach their highest potential. The benefits that a continuous progress education gives a student are now being fully realized and proven in student performance.
Technology is an imperative part of the learning at ICS, thus the school made the investment to give each student their own Chrome Book laptop computer. The school is open to children of all faiths.
ICS invites everyone to consider giving their child a strong foundation for a lifetime of confidence, faith and service. Feel free to call the school at 419-734-3315 with any questions about the Open House or registration for the 2019-2020 school year.
