Ida Rupp events on tap this week

On Thursday, Nov. 19, the “Thankful For” program will begin at Ida Rupp Public Library in Port Clinton. Teens in grades 6-12 as well as adults are encouraged to submit entries to express their gratitude! Send entries as an attachment to, and put “Thankful For” [and your name] in your subject line. Each writer may submit up to three entries to the contest, not exceeding more than 4,500 words total. Entry period ends Monday, Nov. 30.

Words & Wine at Ida Rupp will meet on Zoom at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday to share the books members have read. Register your name and email address on the Ida Rupp website or call 419-285- 4004. You will be sent a link to join in the fun.

The Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library is offering the Frozen 2 Interactive Movie on Monday, Nov. 23. It’s a great way to watch a movie with the library supplying a kit full of goodies and a copy of Frozen 2.

The kit includes a script that tells the movie watchers what to do at a specific time and all the supplies to enjoy the fun. Registration is required for this event.

On Tuesday, Nov. 24 the Ida Rupp Public Library has an At Home Scavenger Hunt. How well do you know what you have and where it is? Take the At Home Scavenger Hunt challenge and find out.

Story Time with Mrs. Winke on Facebook is held by Ida Rupp at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Watch A Story Time with Mrs. Winke with songs and stories about Thanksgiving. Video will be posted to all three Facebook pages.
