A Local Author Fair is in the spotlight at Ida Rupp Library in Port Clinton on Saturday, April 23 from 1-4 p.m. Drop in to meet local authors, hear about their writings, and purchase a book. No registration is required.

To help enjoy the world of Navigating Nonfiction, join our cruise through exciting subjects – with a new destination (nonfiction section) every month. Get your passport stamped and entered for the grand prize drawing at the end of the year..

Thursday April 21

One-On-One Tech Help, Ida Rupp Public Library; 10–11 a.m. and 2– 3 p.m.; Adults. Call 419-732-3212 to sign up for a 30-minute one-on-one Tech Help session.

Superhero!, Ida Rupp Public Library; 10–11 a.m.; Children. A day of superhero books and a superhero popsicle stick craft.

DIY Phone Case, Ida Rupp Public Library; 3–4 p.m.; Teens. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to come to the library to make a silicone cell phone case.

Friday April 22

One-On-One Tech Help, Ida Rupp Public Library; 10–11 a.m. and 2– 3 p.m.; Adults. Call 419-732-3212 to sign up for a 30-minute one-on-one Tech Help session.

Saturday April 23

Local Author Fair, Ida Rupp Public Library; 1–4 p.m.; Adults. Stop by Ida Rupp for a drop-in Local Author Fair on Saturday, April 23 from 1–4 pm. Meet a local author, hear about their writings, and purchase a book. No registration required.

Lighthouse Greeting Card Workshop, Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library; 10:30 a.m.– 2 p.m.; Adults. Join local paper expert, Carol Wise, to make a gorgeous handmade greeting card. You must register.

Monday April 25

World Penguin Day, Ida Rupp Public Library; 10–10:30 a.m.; Children. A day of penguin books and a penguin craft.

Bedtime Story Time, Ida Rupp Public Library; 5:30–6 p.m.; Children. Join us for a sleepy story time. Come in your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal to cuddle.

Navigating Nonfiction, Ida Rupp Public Library; 6–7 p.m.; Adults. Explore the world beyond fiction. Join our cruise through exciting subjects – with a new destination (nonfiction section) every month. Get your passport stamped and entered for the grand prize drawing at the end of the cruise (year). A guest speaker boards our cruise to talk about language(s).

Tuesday April 26

Tales for Tots with Miss Kristen, Ida Rupp Public Library; 10:30–11:30 a.m.; Children. Join Miss Kristen for stories, songs and playtime at the library.

Wednesday April 27

Composting 101, Ida Rupp Public Library; 5–6 p.m.; Adults. Do you want to help the environment but don’t know where to start? Composting is one great way to reduce the need for chemical fertilizers. Tim Hassinger knows how to build a fast-working compost pile that brings healthy nutrients back into the soil.

Saturday April 30

Grave Restoration with Jane and Kate, Ida Rupp Public Library; 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; Adults. Join our favorite Cemetery Expert, Jane Crandall, and her team to learn more about the processes they use to preserve gravestones in honor of those they memorialize. This information session is perfectly coupled with a morning of gravestone cleaning at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 14. Make sure to register for both days by calling 419-798-0477, stopping in the library or signing up at idarupp.org.
