NET Ministries presents a retreat to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church students preparing for Confirmation.
Each year, NET Ministries (National Evangelization Team) sends over 180 young adults across the United States in teams of 10 to12 to proclaim the gospel to Catholic youth. On Sunday, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton was honored to host this group of amazing young men and women as they presented a full days retreat to the Parish’s students who are preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of 2020.
NET Ministries fulfills its mission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith. Through the use of witnessing, skits and plays, small group activities, and lots of fun and laughter, the NET Team invites each young person to live for Christ and form a relationship both with Jesus and their church.
NET Ministries is under the ecclesiastical vigilance of the Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. NET is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Minnesota funded through individual donations, program fees and grants and is governed by a national board of directors. NET was started in 1981 and thrives today with young adults from nearly every continent serving NET Ministries.
The Year One and Year Two Confirmation students have time to examine their own lives as well as their relationships with others and Jesus. The day is a perfect mix of prayer and fun, games, and friendship. The students have a deep appreciation for the NET Team members and their faith.
