PORT CLINTON – Immaculate Conception School is eagerly preparing to welcome students back for another exciting year of faith-filled learning. Classes for the 2026-2027 school year begin Monday, August 24, as the school celebrates its 102nd year of providing Catholic education to the Port Clinton community.

Serving children from 3-year-old preschool through Grade 6, Immaculate Conception School continues its tradition of academic excellence, strong Christian values, and a caring school family where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.

This year brings exciting new opportunities for the school’s growing preschool program.

Students enrolled in the 3-year-old preschool will attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and now have the option to remain at school for Enrichment Afternoons, giving young learners additional opportunities for hands-on learning, social development, and fun.

Families with children in the 4-year-old preschool will also benefit from a new option. In addition to the traditional Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all-day preschool program, students may now attend Tuesday and Thursday “Extra Kindergarten Readiness” Days, allowing 4-year-olds the opportunity to attend school five days a week while building the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition into kindergarten.

“These new preschool options are an exciting way for us to better serve families while helping our youngest students grow academically, socially, and spiritually,” said Jen Roberts, ICS Communications Director. “We are looking forward to another wonderful school year filled with learning, friendship, and faith.”

Registration remains open for Preschool through Grade 6, and families of all faiths are welcome.

ICS encourages families to inquire about scholarship opportunities, emphasizing that cost should never stand in the way of a family wishing to provide an Immaculate Conception School education for their child.

Families are also invited to attend the school’s “Scoop & Soar Back-to-School Open House” on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet teachers and staff, tour the school, visit classrooms, and drop off school supplies before the first day of school. The Yummy Treats Ice Cream Truck will be on site to help celebrate the beginning of another exciting school year.
