Is it hard to know if your car is off or not? The noises most of my prior cars made are no longer present, and of course you do not use a key in an ignition any longer. Your fob is it. So yes indeed, one time I left my car on and ran into the store and came out, and yes, it was running.
On another topic, with all the doctors I now have made an acquaintance with, I really enjoy going to the eye doctor and the dentist because thus far my reports from these folks are all good. No problems – my eyesight is still spot on, and my teeth are as average as they’ve always been. On the other hand, the trips for skin checks, heart, and head usually lead to follow-up tests and new sets of doctors and more uncertainty. Well, life goes on.
I had to attend three funerals recently and was reminded of how precious our time is here. Celebrations of life – as they have been called for years now – are really not-so-subtle reminders of how time passes so quickly and of the impact we have had and that time with friends and family are not to be underappreciated.
With lots of news on how AI is going to eliminate jobs or tasks, I wonder how is AI going to install my screens, spread my mulch, install footers in my crawl space, sort through all my stuff, and decide what I do not any longer need? This list can be quite a bit longer but really begs the question – what is next?
So this last week I have a Bobby Caldwell song stuck in my rolodex. “What You Won’t Do for Love” is a song about how unwavering love might allow you to do anything for the person you love. Well, regardless, I hear it over and over again. And yet another song is stuck in my head – “I’m Never Going to Fall in Love Again” written and sung by Burt Bacharach. This song was made a hit by Dionne Warwick as well as Tom Jones. The song has obvious meaning. I bet many remember thinking this at different times in their lives.
See you around Ottawa County!
