Little Jasper Sammons loves firemen and fire trucks, and that caused a scary moment for the youngster and his mother, Jasmyn, of Port Clinton last week. The tike was playing with his fire truck when his tiny forefinger got stuck in the truck, and he and his mom couldn’t get it out. After calling 911, the Port Clinton EMT arrived and managed to do the job, but not without having to cut apart the fire truck!
Fire Chief Kent Johnson and his crew couldn’t let the little fireman go without a fire truck, so they loaded up the fire truck with a new one for Jasper, and delivered it to his Port Clinton home last week with sirens blaring and lights flashing. (Photo by D’Arcy Egan)
