Jeanne M. Delpercio, 90, of Catawba Island, passed away Wednesday, March 29, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born March 30, 1932, in Garfield, N.J., the daughter of Anthony Carmine and Gladys (Tallia) Esposito. She married Mariano “Del” Delpercio on Nov. 16, 1952, and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2007. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton; Catawba Island Club; she volunteered at Magruder Hospital and volunteered with the Board of Elections. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and word search. Jeanne, “Mama Del,” enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them so very much. She was vivacious and elegant and made the best meatballs in the world.

Surviving are her children: Gary M. (Marilyn Pinks) Delpercio of Port Clinton, Thomas A. Delpercio of Willoughby, Lori A. Delpercio of Catawba Island, Nancy J. Delpercio of Catawba Island; grandchildren: Anthony (Scotia) Delpercio of Sandusky, Carlie (Adrienne Davis) Delpercio of Mayfield Heights, Alison Jeanne Delpercio of Washington D.C., great-grandchildren: Abigayle Jeanne (Jamal Dysart) Delpercio, Kamron Delpercio; great-grandchildren: Layah Dysart, Lilli Dysart, Mariano Dysart, Maxton Dysart; sister: Norma Collova of Ridgewood, N.J.; brother-in-law: Michael Delpercio of Fredericksburg, Va. and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. And let’s not forget her feline furry grandchildren: Mikie, Palmie and Gladdie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister and brother-in-law: Theresa and John Nicolas, brother-in-law: Salvatore Collova and sister-in-law: Barbara Delpercio.

Visitation will be held 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Jonathon Wight 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton. Interment will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or Catawba Island Fire Department, 4730 E. Cemetery Rd.
