When the Rock the Light concert lands at Port Clinton’s Waterworks Park on Sept. 6-7, look for Jeep the Light’s Show & Shine to make a big splash, as well.

Jeep fans from all around the region will rally during the Sandusky Bay Jeepers’ 2019 Jeep the Light Show & Shine and Scavenger Hunt on Friday through Sunday, Sept. 6-8. The event is sponsored by Main Street Port Clinton and the City of Port Clinton.

Main Street Port Clinton has developed a range of packages for Jeep the Light, including a combination of an entry in the Show & Shine competition and the Rock the Light Concerts on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7.

A Jeep the Light/Rock the Light combo package is $50, which includes one Show & Shine entry, a two-day pass to Rock the Light and one Jeep the Light T-shirt. A Show & Shine registration receives preferred parking.

A welcome party for Jeep the Light will be Friday, Sept. 6, from 5-7 p.m., with an early check-in for the Jeep Show & Shine. A Jeep Scavenger Hunt will also begin. The Saturday, Sept. 7 set-up and check-in for the Jeep Show & Shine is 10:30 a.m.-noon, followed by public voting on the Jeeps from noon-2:30 p.m. The Jeep Show & Shine Awards Ceremony is at 3 p.m.

The Rock the Light Concert on Friday, Sept. 6, headlined by Here Come The Mummies, begins at 3:30 p.m.

Jeep the Light show categories include Best Modified, Best Mall Crawler, Best Antique, Best Non-Wrangler, Best of Show and Judges Choice. On Sunday, Jeep the Light has an open air church service at Mon Ami Restaurant and Historic Winery at 8 a.m.
