The Port Clinton Area Chamber’s Jerry Lippus Memorial Classic Car Show will roll into town for the 26th year on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton. There is still room for entrants, but pre-registration is needed. Call the Chamber office at 419-734-5503 or visit PortClintonChamber.com.
The cost is $10 and the first 100 cars registered will receive a free dash plaque. Cars, trucks and bikes from virtually every era and of every make will be on display, a DJ will be playing favorite tunes, 50/50 drawings begin at 11 a.m. and door prizes will be given away every hour beginning at 11:30 a.m.
In recent years, the Lippus Memorial Classic Car Show has hosted an average of over 150 cars and trucks. A portion of the registration fees are being donated to the Port Clinton 4th of July Fireworks and Main Street Port Clinton in honor of Jerry Lippus.
Classic Car Show Show sponsorships, which cost $125, are still needed, as well as door prizes for the event. Contact the Chamber to donate gift certificates and other goodies to be given away during the raffles held throughout the day. The Chamber will also be assembling “goodie bags” for each participant, which can include business menus, coupons or fliers.
