A generous grant from the Portage Resale Center has allowed Joyful Connections to feature its new Little Free Pantry at its facility at 8200 W. State Route 163, Oak Harbor. The Free Pantry is located outside the main doors of the building and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Little Free Pantry is currently stocked with non-perishable and personal hygiene items.
That’s not all, for families in need. Every Friday fresh baked goods donated by Panera Bread will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. During the past few weeks these items have included bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls and bagels.
Joyful Connections is excited to be a part of Panera’s Day-End Dough-Nation program and is looking forward to sharing with Joyful Connection’s local community.
Joyful Connections applauded the largesse of the Portage Resale Center, Panera Bread, The Chapel, and all those who have donated items for its sure to be popular Little Free Pantry. If you are interested in donating, items can be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
