The Oak Harbor Rockets brought out the big guns on Friday night against visiting Margaretta (17-10) in the Division III Sectional final, as Karson Lajti and Michael LaLonde powered them to a 5-2 victory. The Rockets (18-5) will move on to the district semifinals on Thursday (May 25) at Shelby High School.

Oak Harbor will play Wynford, which defeated Western Reserve on Friday.

In Friday’s game the Rockets started slow, but erased a 1-0 lead by Margaretta with a pair of runs in their half of the first inning. LaLonde, who improved his pitching record to 6-1, tripled to center field and was sent home on a sacrifice fly by Hayden Craig.

The Rockets clinched the win when Lijti doubled in the third inning to score Keegan Witt to make it 4-2. In his next at bat, Lijti sealed the deal in the fifth with a homer over the left field wall.
