Calling all birders, artists and art enthusiasts!
The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council and Black Swamp Bird Observatory will be hosting a new exhibit at The Arts Garage in Port Clinton called “Feather to Frame: Visiting Birds, Local Artistry.”
Beginning Sunday, May 1, more than 100 pieces of artwork of local and migratory birds will be on display at TAG, located in the old city garage at 317 W. Perry St. in Port Clinton.
An opening reception will take place at TAG on Sunday, May 1 from 2-6 p.m., celebrating the art and artists, many selling their works.
Submissions encouraged include photography, paintings, drawings, woodworking, mixed-media and more. Pieces should be from 2018 up until current.
Author and artist Kenn Kauffman will be auctioning off an original piece of his work during the reception, with proceeds benefiting both the GPCAAC and BSBO.
The exhibit will be open each day from Tuesday until Sunday from 1-7 p.m. until May 21.
If artists are interested in submitting art for the exhibit, contact event co-chair Carol Morgan, GPCAAC President, by email at ottawacountyarts@gmail.com or GPCAAC press secretary Jessica Denton at jessicadenton@yahoo.com.
