When the 2 Feet Under duo wraps up the summer season for RiverFront Live! on Friday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. on The District Stage in Port Clinton, it will be a mile marker for the band, and another great season for Judi Halstead of Integrity Productions, a savvy local promoter who has made Friday nights special on the Port Clinton music scene.
It won’t be the last gig of the year, though, for 2 Feet Under, the duo of Steve “Krash” Klimack of Marblehead on vocals, drums and percussion, and Jimmy “Jams” Olsen of Catawba Island on vocals, electric and acoustic guitars.
Best friends and excellent musicians, Klimack and Olsen have grown in stature over the last few summer seasons, performing at local gigs that range from happy neighborhood parties in the Channel Grove Marina area on East Harbor in Marblehead to The District Stage, the extremely popular musical venue in downtown Port Clinton that will continue jamming on Madison Street through early September.
Klimack is a veteran of many bands in the Cleveland area, before he had the good sense to move to Shores & Islands Ohio. Olsen played in bands in Detroit, Columbus and Yellow Springs.
2 Feet Under has entertained fans for more decades than Wile E. Coyote has failed to catch the Road Runner. Since 2018, they have delighted local audiences in Marblehead, Port Clinton and Put-in-Bay. Their long list of gigs has exponentially grown every year.
Playing music from the 60’s to the present while covering rock, country, blues and everything in between, their popularity has blossomed.
“They truly love what they do, which comes across in their live performances, playing great tunes with feeling and energy,” said Halstead. “They look forward to sharing the love and power of music, building a fan base that is impressive.”
