Don’t tell anybody, but the Port Clinton girls’ basketball team is 6-2! Yep. Coach Kevin Belden is pleased with his team’s improvement this season.

Their last two victories have been convincing. They posted a 58-21 win over Cardinal Stritch and won 50-33 over Huron. DC Lanier continues to lead the way for Port Clinton, with 17 points against Stritch and 21 at Huron. She is averaging 21 points per game.

Chloe Klein and Erie Buckley have contributed double-digit games while Claudia Gillum is averaging nearly 10 rebounds per game.

They played at Genoa on Wednesday, and have two games next week. Tuesday they play at Maumee Valley Country Day and Thursday return home to face Norwalk.
