The Oak Harbor Rockets boys varsity baseball team closed out their regular season with a 5-0 shutout win over the Swanton Bulldogs at home on Tuesday, May 27. This is Oak Harbor’s seventh win in the last eight games. For Oak Harbor, Caleb Baker pitched for three innings, and he gave up no earned runs on two hits. Karson Lash went 1 for 3 with one double and 1 RBI.

The Oak Harbor Rockets boys varsity baseball team lost an away district semifinal game to the Coldwater Cavaliers from Coldwater 4-3 on Thursday, May 29. Coldwater led the first inning 1-0 before Oak Harbor got on the scoreboard in the third inning. Oak Harbor made a late-game comeback, but had three errors, giving Coldwater their sixth consecutive win.

The Oak Harbor Rockets boys’ varsity baseball team is currently 18-5 overall. The Oak Harbor Rockets are in second place in the Northern Buckeye Conference with a record of 11-3. The Oak Harbor Rockets are ranked 104th in Ohio.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets varsity softball team defeated the Elmwood Royals from Bloomdale in a Division V regional semifinal, 7-3, on Wednesday, May 28, at Wapakoneta High School. The Lady Rockets scored four runs in the bottom half of the first inning. For Oak Harbor, Morgan LaLonde allowed seven hits and two earned runs in seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets played the Milford Fairbanks Panthers from Milford Center on Friday, May 30, in a neutral playoff game as a part of the OHSAA Softball State Championships Division V tournament. The Oak Harbor Lady Rockets won this close game 6-5. The game was scoreless until the third inning when Oak Harbor took the lead 3-0. The Panthers got on the scoreboard in the fourth inning with one run and then exploded for three runs in the fifth inning. Oak Harbor came back with three runs in the sixth inning to secure the win.

Currently, the Oak Harbor Lady Rockets are 24-6 overall and are in third place in the Northern Buckeye Conference standings with a record of 10-4. The Lady Rockets are ranked 58th in the state of Ohio.
