On Sunday, July 21, the Lakeside Heritage Society (LHS) will celebrate Lakeside’s history by hosting a fun event for all ages on Walnut Plaza in front of Heritage Archives. The event, which runs from 1:30 – 5 p.m., includes:

• Lecture on the Lakeside: Dedication of 1874 by Dave Boling (at 1:30 p.m. in Orchestra Hall)
• Cake and Ice Cream Social: Featuring a variety of cakes and bar cookies (brownies included) that can be paired with vanilla ice cream.  (Ice cream, cake, and cookies will also be sold separately.)
• Face Painting: Designs will be offered for a donation.
• Bundt Cake Bingo: Join in five rousing games of bingo!  We will be crowning Diane Hartenburg, Lakeside Bundt Cake Royalty, at 3 p.m.  She will be calling the numbers and awarding her top five home baked Bundt cakes of 2023. Cost of games:  Five for $5.00

What’s It Worth?  If you are familiar with Antique Roadshow, you will love our live version which we are calling What’s It Worth?  Bring your special collectible, prized possession or unique object for our very own professional auctioneer, Steve Bemiller, to examine and offer his opinion/expertise in exchange for a $5 donation.

All are welcome. Admission to the Lakeside grounds requires a gate pass, however, visitors can obtain a free 2-hour shopping/dining pass at the Fifth Street entrance (Northshore Blvd) or South entrance (off of Rt. 163).
