Leadership Ottawa County seeks perfect project for 2024

The Leadership Ottawa County Class of 2024 is seeking community input to help it develop its annual service project.

The Leadership Ottawa County (LOC) Class of 2024 wants to benefit the area in the coming months, and make a positive difference in the health and welfare of Ottawa County. It wants to be remembered by the community for its vision, and it’s asking for help from the community in picking the perfect annual LOC service project.

Past LOC service projects have focused on local organizations such as the Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center, Light House Sober Living and Joyful Connections. The group has aided foster families, veterans and local students.

The LOC Class of 2024 wants to also be remembered for a unique project that will make a difference.

Criteria and Timeline:

  • The project fills a need in Ottawa County or a community within the county.
  • The project would need to be near completion by next April or May.
  • The project should be something requiring a group effort vs. a project for an individual.
  • Someone from an agency or organization must provide guidance to the project and work with the LOC Class of 2024.
  • Deadline for submission is Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Leadership Ottawa County began in 2000 with the goals of having local professionals understand and learn about the county, as well as enhance their leadership skills. Since its inception, each class has completed at least one project, realizing every agency and organization has unique needs and that its talented and diverse class members could possibly provide valuable assistance.

If an organization would be interested in proposing a project that would benefit Ottawa County, contact Michele Mueller at mmueller6@roadrunner.com for further information on the application process.
