Leslie “Les” David Smeach, CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA, 70, of Huron, OH, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born October 16, 1954, in Brownsville, PA, to the late Metzger Jr. and Virginia (nee Sloan) Smeach.

He was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville, OH, then pursued higher education at Kent State University, obtaining a business administration degree. Les settled in Rootstown, OH, where he proudly served as township trustee, and refereed high school football.

He was an accomplished partner at Schlabig & Associates Ltd. Les enjoyed live music, traveling, fishing, boating while always cheering on Kent State basketball, OSU football and Cleveland sports teams.

Les will be deeply missed by his children, Kimberly (Josh) Williams, Bryan (Melissa Kelly) Smeach, and Danielle (Brian Letzelter) Smeach; grandchildren, Jack and Madaline Williams; sister, Leigh Ann Arnold; former wife and friend, Susan (nee Asztalos) Smeach; beloved canine companion, Duke, as well as extended family members and friends.
