Linda Lee Deneau, 74, of Oak Harbor passed away Friday, March 20 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on September 21, 1945 in Lebanon, VA to Fred and Martha Ellen (Harris) McGlothlin. She graduated from Port Clinton High School. On Nov. 4, 1968 in Port Clinton she married Paul J. Deneau, and he survives. Linda worked as a cashier for the former Bassett’s IGA in Oak Harbor for many years. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, especially Cardinals, and she loved country music, especially Blue Grass. Linda enjoyed writing letters to her family and spending time with them. She was a very loving and caring woman who put other people’s needs above her own.
In addition to her loving husband of over 51 years, Paul, she is survived by her sons, Dave (Claudia) McGlothlin, and their children, Amber and Kyle; Michael Royster; James (Jill) Deneau, and their children, Jamie and Jake; John (Renee) Deneau, and their children, John and Katherine; and Fred (Stephanie) Deneau, and their son, Michael; and siblings, Edith M. Ramey, Mildred J. Bennett, and Evelyn Byington. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Geraldine Street, Fred McGlothlin, Patty Mowl, Nancy Smith, Tom McGlothlin, and Judy Ronayne.
Due to Coronavirus recommendations, there will not be visitation at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
