The 30th anniversary of the Jerry Lippus Memorial Classic Car Show will be celebrating by parking a fleet of custom cars and trucks on Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton on Saturday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is sponsored by the Port Clinton Chamber of Commerce.

To register a vehicle in the Classic Car Contest call the Chamber office at 419-734-5503 or visit PortClintonChamber.com.  The cost is $15 and the first 100 cars registered receive a free dash plaque.

Cars, trucks and bikes from virtually every era and of every make will be on display, and a DJ will be playing plenty of road music favorites. The  50/50 drawings begin at 11 a.m. and door prizes are called every hour beginning at 11:30 a.m.

In recent years, the shows have hosted an average of more than 150 cars and trucks. Vehicle registration is $15. A portion of the registration fees are being donated to Port Clinton 4th of July Fireworks and Main Street Port Clinton in honor of Jerry Lippus.
