Lipstraw, Lattimore to lead grades K-6 for B-C-S

OAK HARBOR—The Benton-Carroll-Salem School Board recently voted to approve a new leadership team for kindergarten through sixth grade to serve both R.C. Waters Elementary School and Oak Harbor Middle School, which will become Oak Harbor Intermediate School in January.

Angie Lipstraw will serve as Principal of kindergarten through sixth grade. Lipstraw began at B-C-S as a second grade teacher in 2004. In 2015, she becameAssistant Principal at R.C. Waters Elementary School, and helped to lead a variety of initiatives involving curriculum, technology and interventions. Lipstraw is a graduate of Eastwood High School and holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from Bowling Green State University.

Janene Lattimore will move from first grade teacher to serve as K-6 Assistant Principal starting in August. Lattimore began her teaching career in Toledo, and joined B-C-S in 2013 as a reading teacher at Oak Harbor Middle School.

In 2014, Lattimore moved to first grade. A graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Lattimore also holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University.

“We’re proud and excited for the new K-6 leadership team of Lipstraw and Lattimore, and know that they will bring a high level of innovation and energy to their leadership roles,” said Supt. Guy Parmigian.
